Could the devices also be connected via a powerline?

According to the manufacturer's homepage, the Megaview cannot be installed in a network. I assume that this also applies to a Powerline. You may need to contact the manufacturer directly.

I do not think that this is possible. The Cat5 cable is simply used as a conduit. The installation at my place (different power lines and CAT5 cable in a cable duct) reacts to power fluctuations (e.g. switching on/off a lamp or a kitchen appliance).
