Could I connect it to a YAMAHA M-65 power amplifier, for example? Directly then, without an additional preamplifier?

I don't have any experience with the mentioned power amplifier and don't really know about the topic of power amplifier/pre-amplifier.In my case, the CD player is connected to an inexpensive Denon amplifier (AUX input, if I remember correctly.). I hope you can do something with it.
