Can you use this drive to load audio play CDs onto a Samsung smartphone, for example? Do I need special software or an app?

I have tried it. Connected to my Android devices (one is a Samsung smartphone) -> Nothing works, the drive gets no power. This drive also has no driver for Android devices. The internet says there is a way around this, but it looks too complicated to me, so I'd rather put the audio CDs in Dropbox.
