Can you use the watch as a smartwatch with your mobile phone, so that it is similar to an appwatch?
I don't know enough about the Applewatch. However, you can also pair the Forerunner with your mobile phone. Calendar entries and SMS/Whatsapp messages can be displayed on the watch.
