Can you use the charger to charge an AGM battery that is also being charged by a solar charge controller, or do you have to disconnect it?

Hello, if 2 charging sources are connected to one battery, the source with the higher voltage always supplies the charging current. You can therefore operate the solar charge controller and the charger in parallel without any problems. The diodes in the charger and the semiconductors in the charge controller prevent a "reverse current". As soon as the charger is connected to the mains, it will override the solar charge controller with a higher voltage.
