Question about iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo + AutoWash Dock
Can you select whether the appliance should only vacuum or only mop or both? Or does it automatically do both together?

Yes, that is possible. You select in the app which function you want to use in which room. So the same for all rooms, or some only vacuum, others vacuum + mop etc.
With this model you can choose between 4 cleaning modes:
vacuuming
mop
vacuum + mop at the same time
vacuum first, then mop
