Can you recommend this box as a replacement for my somewhat old Samsung UE55KS8080? I often use my PS5, a bit of Swisscom TV and a lot of media streaming from the NAS. The one connect thing is important to me. Are the problems with the PS5 solved by now? Everything works fine with my old one, but the new one should be 65 inches and hopefully have a better picture. The clouding is a bit annoying with the current one, but otherwise I'm not super demanding. Every answer is helpful. Thanks
Hey, the box would be really nice! But it has quite a few problems with picture dropouts (read Samsung Forum...) I advise you to wait a bit.
I use the TV together with an AppleTV. The software and the remote control are not up to date, so I'm tempted to use Rakkuten or whatever it's called. I don't need that with such an expensive TV. Otherwise it makes a very good picture. I haven't tried streaming from the NAS yet.
The drop-outs (1 - 3 drop-outs) occur quite regularly with my TV. Especially when the TV is switched on again (I always disconnect it completely from the power and the INet). When the TV has been in operation for a while, there are no more drop-outs.
What does Samsung care what we here in Switzerland find embarrassing about their products; the only thing that helps is to choose another brand next time.
Hello, the 65QN93A does not have the problem with picture dropouts. However, it does not have a OneConnect box and only has an HDMI 2.1 connection. The picture quality is identical and you save a grand.
Good day
The picture interruptions occur "generally" when watching TV. Until you get used to it :-) it is a bit irritating when the picture disappears for 1-2 seconds in the middle of a programme and the screen goes black. So far, however, the picture has always reappeared after these seconds....
The "one connect" works well, BUT, I don't have a console, so I can't give any advice, and I don't know if the picture dropouts also occur with a console..... The box has plenty of connection options, but no more analogue ones.
As already mentioned, the Samsung box is huge but relatively flat.
I don't know if this will help you.
