The BIOS offers a wealth of setting options to make the processor or the clocks of the RAM buses run faster. I have used the FX-8370 (8 core CPU) in this motherboard, but run it with the basic settings.
To clock only the processor core faster, the ratio of the basic clock (200MHz) to the CPU clock must be enabled. This is a feature of the processor and is confirmed by the term "unlocked" on the FX-4300 (and also on the FX-8370).
