Can this TV send the sound from different sources (via HDMI) connected to the optical out (goes to Sonos Playbar)?

Ah yes, I almost forgot: Connect the Playbar to the TV and the sound from all HDMI sources goes through the Playbar. In addition, set the sound to optical.

Yes, sure. You can do that with all TVs.
But, and here comes the big but:
You can forget about outputting the sound via TOSLINK, audio out and internal TV speaker at the same time with this device! Holy Cow!
There are the following sound output options:
Either you select only one audio output and then only this one works. All others remain mute.
Or you have the choice between TV speaker + TOSLINK, or TV speaker + Audio Out.
The 'normal' option, all sound outputs are operated simultaneously, does not exist at all!

LG dictates which sound sources I can access at the same time or not at the same time! This is very annoying! For this reason alone, I would never have bought this TV!

If I want to switch from my TOSLINK headphones to my other headphones on the audio out (I'm still looking for the perfectly fitting headphones ...), I have to go to the menu to change the sound setting, because the option TOSLINK + Audio Out doesn't exist either.

And all this with a cumbersome ugly duckling of a remote control (0815 universal remote controls seem chic, handy and luxurious in comparison!) via a tedious user guidance to the 'Sound' menu.
And don't think that the strange cursor drop (it comes, wow, in 3 sizes!) does what you expect! Only with a lot of imagination will you get used to the fact that the stupid drop is never where you point it with the remote control. Of course, as an entry-level LG premium TV, this product doesn't need any unnecessary bells and whistles, like a tare option for this very drop.
I am grateful to LG for encouraging creativity and imagination in their customers with this remote control to such an extent that real magic comes about! Because magic is the only way to get to grips with this remote control!
If, in comparison, the Apple TV remote control (the 2nd most hated remote control of my life!) feels like a small salvation, then you know that with the LG remote control you have reached the zenith of remote control hell!
My advice: never go near a steamroller with an LG remote! You will follow the irresistible urge and destroy this little monster!

There are instructions on the Sonos website on how to conjure up the volume on the "Magic" LG remote control -> https://support.sonos.com/s...

Thank you for your feedback - works 1A via OpticalOut to the SONOS Playbar

Sonos Playbar works. But the volume cannot be adjusted via the remote control. There is an option where this should work. But with this option, only the volume bar is displayed again, which has no effect on anything. Since I control most things remotely via Logitech Harmony, I can live with that.

Yes, that should be possible without any problems, that is actually standard nowadays.
