Can the watch be used as a chest strap replacement on fitness equipment? In other words, Bluetooth pairing of the watch with the device? I would like to get rid of my Bluetooth chest strap for reasons of comfort.

I have been wearing the Vivoactive for over a year now and am very satisfied with it. I used to have a chest strap and occasionally had problems with the pairing. This prompted me to look for an alternative. And since then I've never had any problems again. :-) To test the accuracy, I wore the chest strap and the watch once. The deviations were minimal. I can only confirm the statements in the article (attached link).
