Can the system be used as an alarm clock and is there a sleep mode (timer so that it switches off automatically after half an hour, for example)?

The device has an alarm function - you can set a one-time alarm or a regular alarm. I always use Internet Radio as the source. Alarms can be programmed via remote control or app.
The device switches off automatically after a certain period of inactivity (e.g. when a station no longer broadcasts).
