Can the surfstick be plugged into a router (Asus RT-AC68U) and used as an alternative to a cable modem?

I have the said router RT-AC68U and this surfstick. I also have a SIM card from Salt. So far I have not been able to establish a 4G connection. Asus support told me that I would get all the info from Salt. Salt informed me that it doesn't need a dial-in number, username and password to connect.
Has anyone managed to get this stick to work with a router @Swisshoya?
Hello, can anyone here tell me what exactly has to be set on the Asus router so that the stick runs with a Sunrise card? many thanks
