Can the stand also hold a heavy laptop? Or is there a weight limit?

Define "heavy" :). Basically I can say that the stand is very sturdy and I think it would support any laptop. I just stacked 2 devices on top of each other with a total weight of about 3kg and there are no problems with the product. I hope this helps you
