Question about Arctic W1C

Can the monitor be pulled out exactly straight forwards with this bracket without it shifting to the left or right? I ask because the monitor is inside a shelf that leaves only 0.5 cm of space on the side of the monitor. Within the shelf I would like to be able to slide it backwards or forwards.
