Can the housing be shortened by 4 cm, e.g. by removing the edge protector?
the suspension is located on the edge protector, therefore it is not recommended to shorten it...
Yes, you could, but it is not recommended. The height is freely adjustable and the edge protector also supports a smooth hanging down of the canvas. I would therefore leave everything as it is.
