Can the filters be screwed onto each other? e.g. ND on Pol filter

Yes, it works tiptop. Even all three :-)
By the way, I have the same set for 62mm. Works exactly the same.

Yes (all my filters, including some from Hoya, have a thread on each side), but with wide-angle lenses this results in a more or less strong vignette effect that cannot be completely corrected with Photoshop.
