Can the device not play FLAC from USB...?
As a Highres download (highresaudio.com), FLAC data in 24bit resolution and 96kHz sampling rate can be fed to the USB port, which can read memory sticks and understands not only data-reduced formats such as MP3, but also Lossless material and Highres up to the aforementioned 24/96 resolution.
According to the manual, it can play it. Supported file formats/discs/USB memory: (MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV*, FLAC) *Only Linear PCM format.
