Question about Google Nest Hub (2 Gen.)
Can the device also be used to control smart-home devices? If so, does anyone have any experience whether it is worthwhile or are there better alternatives in your opinion? Thank you in advance.

Yes, it's no problem, you can use the touchscreen to switch Smart LED lamps on and off, for example, or you can switch on lights by voice or send a Smart Home integrated robot hoover off. It is possible to activate something either by voice or directly on the touchscreen, you just have to connect the corresponding smart devices to your Google account via the Google Home app.
