Can the cover open in the event of a fall, for example, or is the display cover held in place by magnets?
The cover can be opened. The cover remains movable and is not held to the screen by a magnetic mechanism or similar. Not recommended for environments with an increased risk of falling, e.g. construction sites, workshops, etc.
