Question about WD Red

Can the 8TB version also be installed in a Synology DS716+? The spec states a max. capacity of 2x8TB, but the compatibility overview of the hard drives only lists models up to 6TB.

Synology already supports 10tb disks with firmware 5.x, as well as virtually all available SSDs.

The disc runs in a DS414 without any problems, I am currently still using DSM 5.2-5592.

Hello

8 TB hard disks are no problem in the TS716+. Future 10 TB hard disks are also possible, e.g. 2x 10 TB.

I think that would be more of a question to ask Synology to expect a quick answer.
