No. I first took the “free” Digitec IoT SIM card but because it’s data only my son was only able to make video calls to contacts or send voice messages. He was also able to receive voice calls. Now i got a cheap voice SIM from Salt. My son is now able to make voice calls from anywhere.
Agree with Guterman. I have cheap 10CHF p/m Digitec SIM cards from the Black Friday promotion in both of my daughter’s watches.
Also, this is the third one of this type of watch I have now bought and it is by far the best. They work almost perfectly. The only one downside we have found in the past three months of use is battery life. They basically only last one day and need to be charged ever night.
Many third-party providers such as TalkTalk or Mucho work for making calls, but these providers are blocked for video calls, positioning and SOS, i.e. they do not support this service. This is a pity, as there is only a very limited choice of network providers.
