No, you cannot permanently set the thermometer to adult, so it will automatically stay in this mode. The Braun ThermoScan 7+ ear thermometer uses Age Precision® technology, which requires manual selection of age before each measurement.
To change the age setting, you must press the Age Precision button before each measurement to cycle through the different age groups (e.g. 0-3 months, 3-36 months, 36 months+). You must select the appropriate age each time before taking a temperature measurement.
