Can I connect the Minix-Neo to my beamer via HDMI and my soundbar to the Minix-Neo via SPDIF? And then, in a second step, attach an external hard drive via USB and watch films on it? Thank you and greetings

I have this device myself. Should work in my experience.
Connect HDMI to my beamer->YES.
my soundbar via SPDIF to the Minix-Neo->YES

I can't confirm this because I don't use a USB hard drive.
But the USB connections on the Minix NEO are there ;-)

But you're better off with a small NAS anyway.
Especially KODI (installed) opens up a whole new world of possibilities if you have a lot of films.
