Because on my mainboard I only have a normal 4 pin Rgb connection.

No, it doesn't work because their 4-pin mainboard connection is probably 12 V and the addressable ARGB LEDs only need 5 V on a 3-pin connector. It only flashes briefly and then the LEDs stop :D
So either a new mainboard with a 5 V ARGB header, or a controller of some kind.
Aquatuning sells something like this Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol Adressable RGB Controller. However, I don't know how well fans can be connected in series and how it looks with the selection of colours ect.
