Can external video players also be used for the mobile APP? For example, VLC media player?

With the DS Video iOS app, it is only possible to switch to another app if playback fails.
With VLC, however, everything can be played (retrieval/list via DNLA or similar), but the iOS VLC app is now limited because only a few formats are supported. The Infuse app actually supports all formats.
