Can a docking station also be used via USB-C and does it only work via the docking port (charging, network, USB, monitors)?

Hi, I am operating the notebook with a monitor on the USB-C. I can use sound, video, USB and the charging function via it. The screen serves me as a docking, so to speak. Kind regards.

I think it works better with the docking connector. There may be compatibility problems with the usbc docking station. The latter is probably unlikely... usbc is a standard ....
