Question about Garmin Hrm-Tri

Hi, as far as I know HRM Tri can do exactly what HRM run can do, it can just do more. Tri can also record the heart rate during swimming. In order to do this, it stores the values and uploads them to the watch at the end of the training session. This makes the measurements generally more robust, as the data transmission is always guaranteed. From this point of view, I would recommend the tri and do without the run.

Does anyone know for sure whether the running efficiency data is the same as for the HRM-Run? According to the HRM-Tri manual, it can only measure 3 values, whereas the HRM-Run can measure 6. For me, this is a decisive purchase criterion for one or the other.

No, hrm-run is not a caching belt, i.e. it has no internal memory and cannot be used under water and later synchronised with the watch like the hrm-tri. In principle, you can use hrm-tri as hrm-run, but it is not as comfortable (different material). hrm-run does not work under water.

Running dynamics are both the same. Tri can also measure heart rate while swimming.
