Battery is fully charged (took twice as long as in the article description, battery arrived deeply discharged), is now mounted in the unit. Light/display/indicators go on. App Connect also works. But nothing moves when pressing the throttle. Even if you "roll" a bit and press the throttle, nothing happens. Is there anything else I need to be aware of or is this simply an assembly model that I received? The operating instructions are very poor and I can't seem to get any support from the manufacturer.
The scooter may be locked by the Connect App -> you can move it (and steal it), but you can't operate it. You need to find the sign for the little padlock in the App, and open it if it's locked. After that, to engage the electric motor, you really need to throw the scooter forward (as with a conventional scooter, without a motor) and lower the accelerator lever at least halfway.(Be careful, if the lever is pressed all the way down, you'll have to lean forward, especially if you weigh less than 70 kg, otherwise you'll end up wheeling).
One minor fault with this scooter, in my opinion, is that the headlight cannot be adjusted to shine a little further: when travelling downhill at 21 kph at night, the lighting is a little 'short' - obstacles come up quickly - and it's better to use a headlamp. The throttle isn't progressive enough, which means that gear changes are very jerky. And it's uncomfortable to hold the grips AND the brakes at the same time, especially on the right, where your thumb still has to press down on the accelerator... The weight is also significant, and it's hard to carry it for more than a few metres: you'd need a hook-and-loop strap to hang it over your shoulder. But otherwise, it accelerates beautifully! And easily 15 to 19 km/h uphill (over 100 metres; I've yet to test the 4 km climb in front of my house)!
every now and then I have to push the throttle a little longer until it comes on, then it goes off quickly. if you roll on a little harder and then push the throttle all the way, nothing happens?
