Attention. The cable can only draw a maximum of 300 watts from the power supply. Since the GPU also draws 75 watts from the board, you will never see more than 375W with an RTX 4090. For many, that may be enough, and that's okay. The 600W that Corsair writes about will never be able to pass through this cable, as the PCIe specification with 8Pin allows a maximum of 150W - please correct me if I'm wrong.

In and of itself, you would be correct from a purely mathematical point of view. What you may have missed is that it is a cable that is PCIe 5.0 specified. Therefore, I assume that NVIDIA and Corsair communicated with each other before Corsair designed this cable. The cable also has the connector (female) on the graphics card side with the four filigree small pins. In addition, the cable can be bent on the side of an RTX 4080 or 4090 for the first 6 cm. NOT bend. In other words - I don't want to advertise - but it needs a very spacious case. With the RTX 3090, NVIDIA still routed the power connector out the back. . With the 4000 series, however, it goes to the side of the case. That's why I would recommend a case like the Level 20 GT ARGB Black Edition, or the View 51 TG ARGB both from (TT) = Thermaltake or a case from the HAF 700 EVO series from (CM) = Cooler Master. Of course, it can also be another case, just very spacious, so that you are not forced to bend the cable when connecting the graphics card. Even a 4090 FE is a very voluminous part, not to mention the custom designs, and not everyone wants to - or can - mount their graphics card vertically (depending on the mainboard).
Type 4 is written on the NT side of the cables. This means that a Corsair NT is required that is capable of Type 4 or, in other words, that is stable enough to supply the 600 watts of a 4090 NT on the side of only 2 connections, if a 4090 demands this. A HX 1500i or the HX 1000i are Type 4 NTs from Corsair, but there are also others.
