Question about WD blue mobile
As I want to install my HDD alongside the SSD's, I need one in 2.5'' format. Is this product effectively open on the back due to space constraints or is this simply poorly presented compared to the 1TB variant?

Yes, there are. From 7mm to 15mm in several gradations.
See what you can install as a maximum. In general, the higher the height, the more (maximum) capacity.
Important: Look at the maximum height in your laptop. 2.5" is not 2.5".
Otherwise, I have only had room for something flat and it does its job as a reliable data tomb.
