The M.2_1 socket supports the PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA mode M Key design as well as PCIe and SATA storage devices of the type 2242 / 2260 / 2280.
The M.2_2 socket supports the PCIe 3.0 x4 M Key design as well as PCIe storage devices of type 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110.
When the M.2_1 (Socket 3) is operating in SATA mode, the SATA port 2 (SATA6G_2) is disabled.
