HTC Vive Cosmos Elite
HTC Vive Cosmos Elite
Are the controllers 1.0 or 2.0 tracking? I read that the faceplate is 2.0, is that right?
To be completely honest. Just buy the goggles and then the 2.0 controller and base. If you want to have a real VR experience, I recommend the HTC Vive Pro Eye with 4 bases and the Fingertracker controller from Valve. Plus 3 HTC Vive trackers and an Nvidia RTX Titan V.
Graphics card: RTX 2060 or higher also possible
It costs a lot of money, but this is the best setup from my point of view.
Good question. I almost suspect that something is still equipped with the 1.0 trackers - why else would you sell the 1 base stations with this product?
For me, HTC took the cake with the Cosomos... it just doesn't fit.
I recommend you buy an Index at this price (even if you have to wait for it). There you have new base stations V2 as well as really new good much better controllers with a very good audio system.
The base stations are 1.0, so they will also be 1.0 controllers.
The only difference between 2.0 and 1.0 is that it is recorded via 4 Base Stations instead of 2 and the playing area is different between 100m2 and 15m2.
Otherwise, all products are compatible with Basis 1.0 so far.
and yes the Cosmos Elite or the VIVE Cosmos External Tracking Faceplate is also 2.0 compatible.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer's website doesn't say what the wireless adapter is like, but with a playing area of 100m2 , the wireless adapter should also be supported!
