Question about Shelly PM Mini Gen3
Am I right in assuming that the current is always flowing because there is no relay? (I once had a PM1 which crashed and then the freezer stopped running... :-/ )

Yes, that's correct. I recently bought one for exactly this reason. NO relay present.
