Can these glasses only be used to play games from the Pico Store, or can they also be connected to a PC or games console (with reliable functionality)?
PC with Steam works perfectly. With the free ALVR or Virtual Desktop software. The Pico streaming tool is not such a hit. Steam now has Steamlink in the Pico Store, but I haven't tested it yet. Cave: At least WiFi 5, better WiFi 6.
I only use it on the PC. Although there is PICO's own software. But I recommend using "Virtual Desktop". It costs 25 or so, but it works really reliably.
On a PC, Pico connect performs better than Virtual Desktop if you use a USB-C cable to connect the headset. Virtual Desktop only lets you connect via wifi (forget about outstripping the bandwidth of a quality USB-C cable!) or with a USB-C/Ethernet cable (I confess I didn't look into it because it seemed 1) stupid 2) complicated).
Works perfectly with Pico Connect or SteamVR. Operating games (Steam) usually works better with a controller than with the Pico things. To watch films, you have a screen of almost any size. (with Pico Connect or Pico Link) It is also possible to integrate Netflix directly. The Pico store is rather weak and doesn't cover my preferences. The demo game Desktop Clash is unfortunately only available as a demo. I would have liked more of that.
I don't know about game consoles, but with PC and the corresponding app on both devices, it works perfectly. Or Steam and virtual reality chat (needs tracker)!
