3 Questions about the compatibility of the board: 1. i would like to take my old card over to the new picture until the new cards are (finally) available. However, this one is PCI 3.0 and GDDR5. So is it possible to install this on the board? I'm a bit confused about the RAM, it says DDR4 SDRAM. Can I now install my normal 2 x 16GB DDR4 RAM sticks on it? 3. would it be compatible with a Ryzen 9 5950x? Thanks a lot for your help.

Helpful answer

Hello, I'll try to answer your questions as best I can.

1. my graphics card is also connected via PCI 3.0 and the whole thing runs excellently for me. as far as I know, the mainboard shouldn't care which memory generation the graphics card has, and GDDR5 isn't that old either.

2. i use normal DDR4 RAM sticks (Corsair Dominator) and have no problems with them. according to the operating instructions, you can only install two, but you have to use the two correct memory banks or your system won't boot (everything is explained in the operating instructions).

3. the board is explicitly designed for the new Ryzen 5000s, so you don't need a UEFI update to boot them, I personally use the Ryzen 5900 and have no problems with it.

I hope the answers were helpful!
