4. Robbe LiPo safe
Everyone knows and recognises the dangers of LiPo batteries. Some people have seen one of these packs burst into flames, and everyone will know how dangerous this can be. The ro-safety is the protection for LiPo batteries that works like this. It was developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aeronautical engineer and enthusiastic model pilot. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire.
The ro-safety is designed so that the batteries can be charged and, of course, stored in it. The charging cables are routed to the outside through a flameproof opening. In the event of a fire in the batteries, the resulting pressure inside can escape to the outside. This takes place through the upper ventilation holes and the smoke is cooled down at the same time. The temperature inside the box can reach up to 800 °C in the event of a fire. Thanks to the special insulation of the box, the base and side walls heat up to a maximum of 80 °C. The escaping gas is not heated. The escaping gas does not get hotter than 150 °C.

Fireballs Fire Extinguishing Granulate for Lithium-Ion Batteries, 5 Liters. New and sensational. This fire extinguishing granulate is the perfect solution for the safe storage and extinguishing of lithium-polymer batteries in case of fire. With this granulate, you are well-prepared in your workshop for all lithium fires. If a battery ignites, you can extinguish it quickly, safely, and cleanly with the granulate.
The granulate is applied softly onto the fire. The expanded glass granulate envelops the fire and suffocates it. At particularly high temperatures, the expanded glass melts and spreads over the surface of the burning metal. The melt forms an airtight seal that crusts over as it cools, extinguishing the metal fire. Re-ignition is effectively prevented.
The fire extinguishing granulate is suitable for fire loads of classes D and lithium-ion.
