4. Roland TB-03
The battery powered TB-03 is the direct successor of the legendary TB-303 Bass Line Synth. The controls and their arrangement are exactly the same as the original. And thanks to Roland's advanced ACB technology, the sound also sounds like the hypnotizing liquid grooves of the silver magic box. But with some enhancements, the TB-03 goes even further than the original: The four-digit LED display allows faster and more precise programming, while overdrive and delay effects create a powerful sound board that will bring the crowd into ecstasy. The TR-606 was introduced in 1981 as a companion to the TB-303 Bass Line. With its size, price, as well as ease of use, the programmable drum machine made home music production possible for the masses. Musicians loved the punchy kicks, popping toms and crackling hi-hats, which were used in a wide variety of genres in the '80s - from new wave to punk to electronic music. Within the TR family, the sound of the 606 takes a special position and served as the basis for countless hits and underground classics. The distinctive sound found many fans - but it was not particularly versatile. The TR-06 brings the original back to life, adding new sound design options and powerful built-in effects to the 606. Control tuning, decay, and pan for each instrument, or turn up the internal gain to smoothly tweak the modeled circuitry as needed.

Roland's TR-08 introduces the world's most famous drum machine as a module in the Boutique series. However, the Roland TR-08 is more than just a simple reimagined clone of the Roland TR-808. It adds modern touches to the classic formula, such as a 16-step sequencer, a selectable trigger output, an LED display, and USB-MIDI. The TR-08 is the perfect blend of attention to detail, respect for heritage, and modern performance, all wrapped in a classic design.
For the TR-08, Roland modeled the legendary TR-808 down to the component level using their Analog Circuit Behavior technology. The original TR-808 is an absolute classic, but its limited functionality can restrict users—especially for modern music production. The TR-08 enhances the original's capabilities with practical, modern features.
An LED display allows for precise control over tempo and shuffle. Also included are compression, gain, tune, and pan controls for selected instruments. Parts can be programmed step-by-step in real-time or entered manually without changing modes. Additionally, a MIDI input and output is not found on the original.
