Now pilots can set up and program SAFE technology for their aircraft. AS3X (3-axis stabilization) technology works behind the scenes to offset the effects of turbulence, giving you a sense of stability and precision as if you were flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft. SAFE technology adds an extra level of protection, making RC flying easier than ever. When enabled, you can't oversteer due to bank angle limitations, and auto-leveling makes intercepting after risky or oversteered maneuvers as easy as letting go of the sticks. Programming and setup of AS3X and SAFE is done directly from your Spektrum transmitter * in a simple 3-step setup via forward programming. To use SAFE and AS3X technology with the AR637T receiver, the receiver must be set up with a compatible Spektrum transmitter. Overview The Spektrum AR8020T 8-channel receiver is a DSM2® and DSMX® capable receiver with a compact form factor for a wide range of aircraft. It features full-range telemetry, an integrated barometer to provide altitude and vario telemetry data. Additional telemetry sensors can be used via the XBUS and temperature ports, which are available separately. It also has an SRXL2 connector for an SRXL2 receiver (sold separately) to add additional RF path redundancy. An SRXL2 / Bind / Program / Batt servo header is available to connect smart devices, program and update the receiver, bind with a traditional bind connector, or connect a battery. The AR8020T also features a bind button for easy unplugged binding and offers both SmartSafe technology and Hold Last Command, as well as preset failsafe variants that can be set through Advanced Programming. In addition, the throttle channel connector is immediately compatible with Smart ESC. Please note: Spektrum DX7S and DX8 Gen 1 transmitters do not display altitude or variometer telemetry with the AR8020T receiver. The Spektrum AR6610T 6-channel receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX compatible receiver with compact dimensions for a wide range of models. It delivers a lightning-fast input-output response that is perfect for high-performance applications such as 3D aircraft and helicopters. It features full-range telemetry and an integrated barometer to provide altitude and vario telemetry data without requiring additional sensors. An SRXL2 connector is provided for a separately available SRXL2 satellite receiver to eliminate signal fading and antenna blind spots that can occur with 2.4 GHz systems. The AR6610T receiver gas channel provides SMART Throttle. When equipped with SMART Throttle, the normal servo connector provides the throttle signal to the ESC, and the ESC can send telemetry data such as voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR6610T receiver is compatible with Spektrum Avian series ESCs. For SMART Throttle to work, a SMART Throttle controller must be paired with a SMART Throttle telemetry receiver and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. The SPM9747 uses SRXL2 for communication with the receivers. SRXL2 is a serial communication protocol with a bidirectional data link that allows one line to carry all control data. Earlier Spektrum serial receivers were based on the Spektrum radio receiver protocol, which is not compatible with SRXL2. SPM9747 is only compatible with SRXL2 receivers such as AR637T and AR6610T.
