The Ortles Guide with a volume of 35 litres is a lightweight, robust backpack designed for progressive alpinism. The latest technical developments enable the production of significantly lighter backpacks that allow faster, further and safer movements in high alpine terrain. The Dry Back Contact carrying system features a padded EVA back panel and 3D ventilation channels that improve air circulation and breathability. With flat, split shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap, the backpack stays close to the body and offers maximum freedom of movement. To allow quick access to your equipment, the backpack has a roll-top closure, direct access via a side, water-resistant YKK zip and a separate front compartment that is ideal for storing avalanche equipment. You can reduce the weight of the rucksack by removing the removable, height-adjustable lid and the padding on the hip belt. This rucksack is equipped with a tube guide and an outlet for use with a hydration system. It also has load control and side compression straps as well as a rope strap with magnetic fastener at the top for securely stowing equipment. We present the Alp Trainer 20, our functional backpack for shorter hiking tours in the mountains. It features our new Dry Back Air carrying system, which ensures that your back stays dry with its special design. With a 26% smaller contact area than our previous constructions, it reduces body contact without compromising load control. The integrated ventilation system with breathable materials enhances airflow to your back. After 15 minutes of activity, the new Dry Back Air system lowers the temperature on your back by 1.5 °C compared to our previous Air Fit system.
Our lightweight, split shoulder straps also reduce body contact, allowing for greater perspiration and comfort, improved air circulation, and mobility. Additionally, you can secure the backpack tightly with the Twin Compression System (TCS) to carry the load close to your body and move confidently. The capacity can be quickly and easily adjusted, for example, when you’ve taken out your rain jacket.

Stability and control
For more stability and improved control, our Twin Compression System (TCS) has an upper and a lower compression area that allow you to easily regulate the volume. This means you can always stabilise the load centrally.
