The award-winning "Hot Cat" was introduced in 2005 to great acclaim. Over time, subtle refinements have been made, and the accolades keep coming. As satisfied as we are with the original, the time is ripe for a completely new "Hot Cat." We have incorporated everything we've learned over the last 20 years into this innovative reinterpretation of the "Hot Cat."
Channel 1 offers the typical Bad Cat sound with brilliant highs and rich lows. Channel 2 is a blazing high-gain channel with exceptional string definition and rich harmonic content. We have included a Lo/Hi gain switch, allowing Channel 1 to provide a huge amount of clean headroom or 70s-style crunch sounds and everything in between. In Channel 2, you can now choose between two different options.

One big sweet spot
The "Cub" was one of the original Bad Cat designs - it is a boutique product and has been used on countless stages and recordings. Its original circuit was simple but extremely versatile, offering punch and chime. It ramped up easily, set the standard for touch dynamics and established itself as a classic. Over the years, the design of this amp has been refined and improved again and again. Each iteration brings something new, and our latest "Cub" is no exception.
A single channel amplifier with two gain modes, the original Cub circuitry has been refined and in this design is accessible in clean mode. Here, the "Cub" is capable of producing bright, classic clean sounds that transition into smooth, velocity-sensitive breakup sounds.

What makes a truly great modern high-gain amplifier? We pondered this as we set out to redesign the Lynx. Modern high-gain guitarists need tight low frequencies that punch through and respond quickly to staccato palm muting. They need high frequencies that cut without being harsh or grainy. They require effective midrange shaping with complexity and articulation. The new Lynx meets these demands and even exceeds them.
The Lynx features two different channels and 7 gain stages. Channel 1 is a classic high-gain channel that covers dark clean to 80s metal sounds. Channel 2 is a modern high-gain channel with a massive sound profile that remains articulate and insightful.
