Smart speakers

Smart Speakers and Smart Displays are devices that have an integrated language assistant such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri or Microsoft Cortana. They serve as a central control unit for your Smart Home. With the Smart Speaker you give commands to all integrated devices such as lamps, multiroom systems or the TV. With your voice you can control light, image and sound. In addition to their function as control centres, Smart Speakers can also provide information about the weather, news or the current traffic situation and answer many questions with the help of the Internet. Further services are to be integrated in the future. In addition to a power connection, all you need is WLAN and you're ready to go with the Smart Home. When choosing the Smart Speaker, the ecosystem is crucial. So far, each platform is largely self-contained, i.e. devices from different ecosystems cannot communicate with each other. So from the beginning, think about which ecosystem (Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple Homekit, etc.) you want to build your Smart Home in. Maybe you already have devices that are compatible with one ecosystem or another.
