E-scooters (seated)

Electric scooters are scooters with an electric drive. Electric scooters also include e-mopeds and small electric motorcycles. The electric scooters belong categorically to the "light motor bicycles". They are therefore on an equal footing with e-bikes and must meet the same conditions for use on the road. If the E-scooters drive faster than 20 km/h, a licence plate must be attached. If the E-scooters drive faster than 45 km/h, a type approval by the Road Traffic Office must be fulfilled and, if necessary, a vehicle insurance policy must be taken out.
