Mechanical bathroom scale
Bought for an elderly person, the carers who look after her were delighted when they saw that I had replaced the electronic scale with this more basic model.
Relatively bulky, stationary use preferred.
Entirely mechanical, no other procedure is required to use it than to step on it, so no automatic calibration (a wheel allows to adjust the zero if necessary), but no battery to change either.
Other more modern models have a simpler and smoother surface, easier to clean, but sometimes also more slippery.
