What could be emphasised more clearly in the product description is that the pictures show the machine with the optional decorative front. As a layman, this was not automatically clear to me; I had expected a generic front. The decorative front is also necessary for balancing the door, otherwise it cannot remain open.

Hello, a question for Myke13021, does this appliance do its job (washing dishes) without a decor front, or not at all? Why would decor front be absolutely essential (the door cannot be open, or, what exactly is the consequence?). Thank you.
@Charlon: the door spring is designed for the weight with the decorative front. Without it, the door will not stay down because it is too light. It is practically impossible to put the door in/out.
With the appropriate craftsmanship, you could certainly make a decorative front yourself, but the weight just has to be right.If you had previously installed a normal box with a door, you can use the existing door as a front, which means the whole thing fits perfectly in the kitchen. Works perfectly for me. :)
