AMD's strategy to change sockets all the time is rather stupid, because you also have to change boards to upgrade.
Nevertheless, this processor is a good entry-level model. The equivalent processor of the 19 series is much less attractive in comparison, because it heats up and needs more cooling.
For those using VM Ware, you now have a lot of processor cores at your disposal.
