Resolution adjusts itself, unfortunately not to the resolution I need.

The box should replace my "ancient" "WD TV Live Media Player".
Unfortunately, after a short time I no longer get a picture when the box is connected via my reciever (Harman/Kardon BDS570). Reason, the box resets itself to "Auto Switch to best resolution" and with this setting no picture comes.
Habs tried several times via PC to adjust, unfortunately unsuccessful.
