Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K)

The PL Mount Modification Kit for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K allows users to convert their BMPCC6K camera into a PL mount through a short modification process. All necessary tools are included in the kit. The PL mount is made of stainless steel and aircraft aluminum and includes PL port covers. Shims are included with the back focus adjustment kit, and the appropriate shims are installed prior to shipping. No other adjustments should be necessary, but they can be checked with a wide-angle lens and focus card. The EF mounting screws of the BMPCC6K are used to attach the PL mount to the camera. The modification process can be reversed. If you decide to switch back to the EF mount in the future, you can do so by reversing the steps in the process, but switching back and forth will eventually damage the plastic in your camera since the sensor block is made of a composite plastic material. With this kit, the change is done by the user. An optional installation service is available for an additional fee.

Important Note: While the vast majority of modern s35mm lenses are compatible, lenses with a rear protrusion greater than 33.5mm measured at the PL flange are not compatible, and other lenses may not fit due to the shape of the original Blackmagic 6K body design. A list of incompatible lenses will be available soon, along with a diagram detailing the protrusion requirements for installation in a modified BMPCC6K.
