UTP patch cable of category 6. Halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket. Conductors made of 100% copper. Gold-plated connectors with strain relief. The conductors made of 100% copper are unshielded, and the cable features strain relief. The jacket is made from halogen-free materials and is highly flame-retardant.

The UTP cable consists of a plastic jacket that houses the unshielded, twisted pairs of wires. Due to the lack of shielding, UTP cables have a small outer diameter, making them easy to handle and install.

The strain relief sleeves in a particularly slim design allow for comfortable cabling even with larger switches with 48 ports or more. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogenated combustion gases is thus excluded, and smoke generation is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-resistant and do not exhibit a dangerous ignition cord effect.

With longer lengths, transmission speed may suffer, but short overlengths are generally acceptable depending on external influences. Application areas for Cat 6 include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks.
