Product details
UTP patch cable of category 6. Halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket. Strands made of 100% copper. Gold-plated connectors with strain relief. The 100% copper strands are unshielded, and the cable features strain relief. The jacket is made from halogen-free materials and is highly flame-retardant.
The UTP cable consists of a plastic jacket that houses the unshielded, twisted pairs of wires. Due to the lack of shielding, UTP cables have a small outer diameter, making them easy to handle and install.
The strain relief sleeves, designed to be particularly slim, allow for comfortable cabling even with larger switches that have 48 ports or more. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases is therefore excluded, and smoke generation is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also difficult to ignite, and there is no dangerous ignition cord effect.
UTP - Unscreened/Unshielded Twisted-Pair cables. UTP cables consist of a plastic jacket that houses the unshielded, twisted pairs of wires. Due to the absence of shielding, UTP cables have a small outer diameter and are easy to handle and install.
These are the most widely used cables for Ethernet LANs worldwide. Category 6/6a/6e. Cat 6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and are often used in professional settings. At longer lengths, transmission speed may suffer, but minor excess lengths are generally acceptable depending on external influences. Application areas for Cat 6 include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks.
