Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies of up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission with high data transfer rates (1 Gbps). The individual wire pairs in Cat6 cables are twisted at different tightness, which reduces susceptibility to interference even more than in Cat5e.
